Critical Validities: A Framework for Qualitative Research

Nitel araştırmalarda geçerliliğin rolü, tanımı, ölçümü ve uygulanması hakkında çok şey yazılmıştır; bunlar arasında nitel araştırmanın doğası ve farklı geçerlilik türlerini ölçmek için kriterler sağlayan çerçeveler açısından geçerliliğe ilişkin bakış açılarının uygunluğuna dair görüş bildiren temel çalışmalar da bulunmaktadır. Bu önceki çalışmalarla birlikte, nitel araştırmanın, herhangi bir çalışmanın kritik yönlerini veya bunların eksikliğini vurgulayan bir araçtan da fayda sağlayacağını savunuyorum. İçinde faaliyet gösterdiğimiz birçok yapı ve sistem, bir dereceye kadar güç dinamiklerini desteklemektedir ve biz eğitim araştırmacıları olarak bu yapı ve sistemler içinde var olan olgular, gruplar, bireyler, davranışlar, uygulamalar ve inançlar hakkında araştırma yaparken bunları incelemeye değer buluyoruz. Bu aracı, bağlamsal, yansıtıcı, sorgulayıcı, kapsayıcı ve dönüştürücü geçerliliği içeren bir dizi kritik geçerlilik olarak adlandırıyorum.
